The APF network topography schematics is meant to show the various network components and connections. The APF has two overall networks. The first is the Mount Hamilton network which is shared through out mountain and the second is the APF private network. The mountain network enters the observatory via fiber optic cables which connect to the Transition Networks fast ethernet media converter which, in turn, - HEY, WHERES THE FIREWALL ? - plugs into the '176 net' Cisco switch.
