The Footlocker wiring sheet primarily shows the interconnection
of the AC input module, the AC connections inside the
Foot
Locker
Interface
Chassis (FLIC), and the connections for the over
temperature circuit. The AC Input Module is connected to the FLIC by a short
cable that connect J1 to J1. The wires in this cable are called out in the table
marked J1 just below the AC Input Module. The FLIC J1 connector is wired directly
to terminal board TB1. The drawing of TB1 calls out the terminal number and
the signal attached to each terminal. The blocks on the right side of the diagram
represent the various modules and panels screwed into the front of the of the
FLIC. As the diagram shows, AC power is supplied to the DC power supply module,
the fan solid state relay, the LN2 Fill solid state relay, and the Shutter controller
module. The lines on the right side of the front panel modules represent the
DC power connections to the other modules. The rectangle below the power supply
module represent a test point panel for the power supply outputs for trouble
shooting.
The other connections to TB1 are associated with the over temperature circuit
which drops the AC power to the FLIC and CCD Controller if the temperature in
the FLIC rises above about 85 degrees Fahrenheit. The lowest rectangle on the
right represents the push button switch that is used to reset the AC power to
the FLIC, and thus, the CCD Controller after an over heating event. (Note that
the
Selco
thermostat will not reset until it goes below about 67 degrees Fahrenheit.)
Below TB1 is the thermostat. It is mounted near the center of the FLIC chassis
in free air. In the lower left corner of the drawing is the representation of
the sonalert for the system. It is mounted on the top of the HIRES instrument
room and wired to J4 on the back of the FLIC via a conduit through the top of
the footlocker. See EL-3419 for a full description of the operation of the over
temperature circuit.
