TV Testing

C. Harper 12-12-01

1. Remove covers from the camera, pick off mirror and the tilt mirror.

2. Power up sequence from kics @celeste:

% modify –s deimot tvcampow = on (takes ~ 30 sec to run diagnostics)

% modify –s deimot tva2spow = on

% modify –s deimot tvs2fpow = on

3. Bring up kcamtest program from harper @Shoppe:

% camera

If driver error or camera not open error messages come up, then from

harper @shoppe %super reload-driver

4. For set up choose:

-camera, then open and pvcam2

-camera, then status. Displays CCD temp. It will take 20 minutes to get to -15°C.

-exposure, then setup. Enter 25 ms exposure time.

4. Turn on lamp.

5. Check filter position (clear =5) and focus position (+960 best focus).

6. To take an exposure:

-exposure, then single

or ^E

5. Save an image:

-file, then save as. Enter the file name with .fits

i.e. /u/harper/filename.fits

or ^A

6. Exit kcamtest before powering down the system.

-file, then quit

7. Power down sequence from kics @celeste:

% modify –s deimot tvs2fpow = off

% modify –s deimot tva2spow = off

% modify –s deimot tvcampow = off

8. Replace the three covers.
