This diagram shows the Estop test connector. It is used to test the Estop circuitry on the DEIMOS instrument. The Estop signal is sent to the instrument to implement an emergency rotation stop. The same signal stops movement of the telescope, dome, etc. In the case of DEIMOS, it is used to interrupt the Hatch-Open signal going to the rotation interlock box (see EL-3120 sheets 6, 9, and 12.) This test connector provides a simulation of that Keck signal.
